Tarbiya Coordinator (Tarbiya Program Lead)
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Tarbiya Director
Base Pay Scale: $40K – $60K
Job Summary:
The Tarbiya Program Lead will act as the strategic right hand to the Tarbiya Director, focusing on the comprehensive development of impactful curricula and programs for multi-touchpoint Tarbiya initiatives. This role emphasizes the creation of programs that inspire and develop Quranic agents of change and community leaders. The Coordinator will also build strong alliances with Islamic centers and organizations in DFW to support collaborative programs that expand MAS DFW’s reach and effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities & Major Functions:
- Reporting and Evaluation Support:
- Maintain detailed records of program development, feedback, and outcomes.
- Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for review by the Tarbiya Director and Executive Director.
- Program Management and Implementation:
- Oversee the planning and execution of Tarbiya programs aligned with MAS DFW’s long-term vision.
- Develop adaptable and scalable program structures for various age groups and genders.
- Coordinate with team members and volunteers for seamless program delivery.
- Establish mechanisms for continuous feedback and program evaluation.
- Alliance and Partnership Development:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with Islamic centers, community leaders, and relevant organizations across DFW.
- Develop collaborative programs that leverage partner resources and align with MAS DFW’s Tarbiya mission.
- Serve as a liaison to foster strong partnerships that amplify MAS DFW’s impact.
- Volunteer Coordination:
- Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of Tarbiya volunteers.
- Maintain a volunteer database and schedule volunteers for various activities and events.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure volunteers are effectively contributing to program goals.
- Resource Management and Support:
- Ensure program resources are relevant and easily accessible.
- Develop guides and other support materials to aid facilitators and participants.
- Manage the production and availability of printed materials as supplementary support.
- Curriculum and Content Development:
- Collaborate with the Tarbiya Director & team to design, develop, and refine curricula tailored for youth, CYP, and adult programs.
- Develop and disseminate educational content that supports Tarbiya initiatives
- Research and incorporate high-quality resources to enhance program content, ensuring alignment with Islamic teachings and MAS DFW’s values.
- Other Tasks as Needed:
- Perform additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the Tarbiya Department.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
-
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Experience:
-
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational program development, teaching, or community leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and program management.
- Proven track record of working with youth development programs.
3. Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Islamic principles, teachings, and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Proficiency in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational software tools.

Summary:
The Tarbiya Coordinator for the MAS DFW College Campuses Team will lead the Human and Personal Development (Tarbiya) initiatives specifically focused on college and university campuses within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Reporting to the Tarbiya Director (TD), this role is crucial for aligning Tarbiya efforts with the unique needs of the college campus environment. The Coordinator will manage the Tarbiya Department’s strategic and operational responsibilities, aiming to enhance youth and CYP development and program execution on college campuses
Main Responsibilities & Major Functions:
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the Tarbiya Department’s initiatives and performance are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives set by the Tarbiya Director, tailored to the college campus context.
- Organizational Support: Collaborates with the CYP and TD to enhance organizational governance and drive development.
- Effective Communication: Provides timely and accurate information to the CYP and TD enabling informed decision-making.
- Leadership and Inspiration: Leads, inspires, and aligns the College campus communities with MAS’s vision and mission.
- Coaching and Development: Coaches, inspires, and leads College campus leads, volunteers, and mentees to perform at their best.
- Strategic Partnerships: Expands MAS’s mission and vision beyond the center by building strategic partnerships with institutions and organizations in the university settings.
- Program Quality: Ensures the organization delivers quality programs aligned with its strategic priorities.
- Cultural Development: Promotes a culture of transparency and collaboration between the tarbiya department and CYP teams.
- Develop Tarbiya Methods: Employ and systematically integrate various Tarbiya curriculums and methods applicable to College students.
- Membership Development: Implement curriculum and programs to recruit and develop MAS members, ensuring clarity on MAS’s identity, structure, vision, mission, and goals.
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

The Tarbiya Partnerships Coordinator for the MAS DFW Islamic Organizations Outreach Team will lead the Human and Personal Development (Tarbiya) initiatives specifically focused on Islamic Organizations Partnerships within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Reporting to the Tarbiya Director (TD), this role is crucial for aligning Tarbiya efforts with the unique needs of the various Partners environment such as STEM, Scouts, Ventures, Sports, Schools,.. The Coordinator will manage the Tarbiya Department’s strategic and operational responsibilities, aiming to enhance youth and CYP development and program execution on Partners premises.
Main Responsibilities & Major Functions
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the Tarbiya Department’s initiatives and performance are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives set by the Tarbiya Director, tailored to the Partners context.
